In just under a week, we will set off on the second US/Russia exchange trip for 2015! As we travel through Colorado and Utah over the course of two weeks, we plan to explore a wide variety of plant communities, including alpine, steppe and riparian. Along with our Russian colleagues, we will meet with staff at botanic gardens, National Wildlife Refuges, National Parks and the Forest Service. We hope to observe rare and endangered plants, learn about and discuss plant conservation and invasive plant control strategies and collect seed to add to our collection at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
